We have the perfect package for everybody who wants to surf and relax at the same time. Our Surf & Stay package is perfect if you want to learn surfing or improve on your current surfing skills. If you choose our Yoga & Surf Package you’ll have the perfect balance between surfing and yoga. No matter if you are a total beginner or already experienced. We have qualified teachers for everybody.

YOGA & SURF PACKAGE

YOGA & SURF INCLUDES:

  • 4 night (3days surf/yoga) or 7 nights (6 days surf/yoga)

  • 1 x 1,5 h surf lesson and 1 x 1h yoga lesson a day (beach transfer + materials)

  • Accommodation in front of the beach in a shared room or private room

  • Buffet Breakfast everyday

Ferrel Surf House is a local and family-owned surf camp in Peniche, Portugal. We are located 50 meters across the beach of Baleal. Spotting the horizon and endless beaches from your bedroom is a scenery you won’t forget. Instead of huge commercial groups we enjoy the familiar vibe of our surf community. Therefore our surf house is perfect for solo-travellers, couples, groups and surfers of all levels.

  • Individual Surf Training: Every day the ocean is different and so is the levels of our surf students. That is why we take you to different surf spots according to your needs and experiences.

WHY OUR SURFSCHOOL?

When it comes to surfing, it's important to understand the basics before practicing anything else. So when you come to us, we make sure to clear the basic steps of surfing before doing anything else. This will also help you gain confidence and improve even further as we try the next steps. Our instructors are always in the water with you, whether you are a beginner or intermediate.

So what makes us Different?

  • If you choose our surf school, we willl analyze together which level you are. We want you to improve and get better knowledge about surfing. Our priority is to teach our students to be safe in the water, by knowing the basic steps of surfing.

  • Our teachers are always in the water. During the beginner lesson we stay beside you without a surfboard, choose the right wave for you and push you onto it so you can focus on your standup and turns. The intermediate teacher is always beside you with an own surfboard, so you can paddle out together to catch the waves in the line up.

  • Honesty is our key. We want you to truly improve and have fun at the same time. Our instructors give you honest feedback during and after the lesson.




Living at the beach of Baleal

We want our guests to feel home and comfortable. We provide a variety of rooms to suit different travel needs and price ranges. The decoration is handmade by the house Papa Rui who never stops creating and improving. We want to create a space where people meet from all over the world and share memories in our community areas, including a kitchen, living room and rooftop terrace.

Portugal is the ideal spot for anyone looking for an adventorous or relaxing getaway. Guests can enjoy surfing and other water sports as we are located directly on the beach. To always be entertained we offer a range of activities, for example yoga classes, group dinners or bonfires on the beach.

Portugal with its countless beaches impresses with some of the top surfing spots in the world. Peniche provides excellent surfing conditions for beginners as well as advanced surfers.. Due to the two coastlines' south and west orientations, you can always find a spot to surf at any time of the year with any wind and swell direction.

the way we teach

1.Defining goals of your surfing

We check your level of surfing to get a feeling what’s the best way to teach you. If you have no experience we start with the basics of surfing in a short theory lesson and practise on land. For experienced surfer we teach more detailed techniques to improve their surfing.

2. Picking the right spot for your level

Every lesson we pick the right surf spot suitable to weather conditions and your level of surfing. We will always be in the water with you and give direct feedback.

3. Analyzing your surf behavior

Surfing is all about practising. Within your two sessions per day we will record your progress on video to analyze your surf behavior and give tips for improvement.

friends, fun & good times

Even if it’s hard to believe but you can also proceed further activities than surfing in Portugal. Get some more insights what to do in the area of Baleal and Peniche. We offer also community activities for all guests of our surf house to spend some memorable times together.

BARBECUE NIGHTS

Freshly grilled fish, meat and vegetables for every gusto. We love our barbecue nights in Baleal whith all our house guests.

Watching sunsets, snacking on the beach, playing volleyball in the sun or creating a bonfire with the group. There’s unlimited things to with the surfhous crew.

Trips

Portugal’s beautiful landscape has a lot to offer! Charming places like Nazaré or Sintra, the island “Berlengas” or the city Lisbon. Let’s go for a road trip!

BIKE & SKATE

The easiest way to explore the area around Baleal is by grabbing a bike or skateboard. Drive along beautiful streets along the coast and smell the salty breeze!
